Dune Dudes

So try to wrap your face around this info: Bordeaux is no more than an hour from the Atlantic Ocean. You know what that means—sand. But Bordeaux didn't decide to just have normal sand like some Jones Beach nonsense. No, Bordeaux went all out and built an enormous structure that it likes to call the Dune du Pyla. Pyla is French for "climb till you die." It's the highest sand dune in Europe at around 400 American feet, but between you and us, we're not sure there's a whole lot of competition. We went to the spot on Saturday to see what all the fuss was about. We were impressed. This is me and my bro Jesse surveying the scene, and as you can see, we're high up as balls:
The Dune du Pyla is the perfect place to catch some rays, snag a nice view of the water, or just get housed with your friends and strike mad poses like these girls below:

After drunkenly tobogganing down the other side of the promontory (look it up salopes), we continued on our journey to see how much wine we could consume before sundown. Check back here soon for WSJ's account in the next chapter of La Vie En Bros.

Looking good, ladies.
